This is one of the most beautiful hotels in the entire world. It is certainly within the top two or three. I have stayed at over my lifetime. This exclusive villa only has 24 rooms and is spacious. We had basic rooms which were still lovely and well appointed and comfortable. The rooms came with beautiful, comfortable outdoor patios. Reception was friendly and efficient and helpful. The breakfast is served on the roof of the villa with wonderful views of the surrounding area. The food at breakfast was first class with local specialties served in style. Everything was delicious. If you can afford this hotel, it is the place to stay.
Wonderful visit! We had excellent interactions with all of the staff at the hotel - particularly Bruno, Denise, and Ivana - as well as with the staff at St. George Restaurant. The views are stunning and the location is fantastic, right by the main drag with all the restaurants and shopping. Would definitely recommend staying at the Ashbee!
Unfortunately the maid assigned to our room stole from us. We had stupidly left a good amount of euro in a pocket inside our back pack instead of putting it in the safe, so ultimately it’s our fault. We grabbed some cash before heading to the beach, and when we returned, all of the money in our back pack was gone. The maid passed us on her way to clean our room when we left the room. We spoke to the manager, who confirmed with the security cameras that the only person who entered our room besides us was the maid. The manager told us basically that he has to stand with his staff, and that we are stupid for not putting money in the safe (which yes I know we are we will never make that mistake again). However, the money wasn’t sitting out. This lady had to open multiple zippers and rummage around our bag to find that pocket with the money. I would expect better at a five star resort. Don’t stay here, I wouldn’t even trust the safes to be honest, and I definitely don’t trust the staff.
