The Ashley

Really easy to find on the front and parking outside or at the back. Excellent large room and very well decorated and beautifully clean. Good choice at breakfast and extremely well cooked. Coffee and tea facilities and fresh water and milk in rooms. We were very lucky with weather. Would definitely stay there again

Well what can I say. What a wonderful establishment. I had had a spinal procedure that morning & needed to relax & relax I did. Upon arrival we were greeted by a cheery lady called Pauline who is the proprietor. The entrance way was very clean & appealing. We were told where I room was & up we went. Entering our room we were very happy with what greeted us. A lovely clean bright & airy room decorated in a simple style which was quite modern looking but not too modern. Pauline had thought of everything to make the our stay as comfy as possible. There was a tea & coffee area with little chocolate bars. In the wardrobe there was a hairdryer & an ironing board & iron. There was a TV & a extensive guide of Moracambe & The Ashley. 2 comfortable chairs to sit in & an extremely comfortable bed with good quality bedding on it. We had a small but practical ensuite with an amazing shower. There was complimentary shower gels too which was a nice touch. The towels were also of a high quality. After a very comfortable sleep we went down for breakfast. There was a good choice of breakfast goods including cereal, fresh fruit, yogurts & 3 types of bread for toasting. There was a menu on the table to chose a hot breakfast too. We had cereal & Pauline's wonderful Lancashire breakfast. The table was laid with top quality cutlery which says a lot to me. Our Lancashire breakfast was delicious & very filling. We went out for a walk & upon our return found our room had been cleaned & fresh towels put in. Pauline was the perfect host & we loved every second of our stay at The Ashley. If we return to Morcambe we'll definitely be booking in a The Ashley again

Exceptional location let down by others room service, and charging me with untrue claim of late checkout just for giving a bad review on bookings.com and as no fans are provided you need to open window and then traffic will not let you sleep. And the noise bed is another issue but sadly there wont be anyone to help you if you are stuck in night, the keys provided broke and the door was not opening. i kept calling but was not attended by anyone. Ultimately I managed to enter room with help of another guest.
