From arrival to departure I found all staff to be professional, considerate and willing to go that extra mile for their guests! Atholl Palace is so much more than a hotel, it is a home from home - just wish I could have squatters rights! The food is ALWAYS fantastic and the hotel is beautifully decorated in keeping with its history. The spa is very restful, clean and well maintained. I had two wonderful massages during my recent stay and I came home VERY relaxed. The hotel grounds are absolutely beautiful, sitting outside taking on the views or even the stunning views from my beautiful room - WOW! Really didn’t want to leave! Sincere thanks to all the wonderful staff- you are all absolute gems!
Atholl Palace Hotel offers breathtaking, fairytale views of green fields and towering ancient trees. Our dual-aspect bedroom (215) was spacious and peaceful, with a super comfortable bed. The location is perfect for reconnecting with nature — clean air, tranquil surroundings, and only a short walk to a picturesque, friendly town. The on-site museum was a lovely surprise, filled with fascinating history about the hotel and its owners. We treated ourselves to the afternoon tea — it was absolutely scrumptious, from savoury mini burgers to delicious desserts (I couldn’t stop eating!). A truly unique experience and a wonderful base for scenic walks. We’ll definitely be back!
Beautiful surroundings, and the hotel inside was so lovely. The food wasn't up to expectations, having been presented with a plate full of skin-on chips full of black, very dirty skin covering my plate. We did not ask for this type of food as there was a choice of these vile skin on chips or just chips. No, we didn't complain, because the room was full and we didn't want to make a scene. Staff should be aware of people's choices when ordering food, and we certainly know what we ordered. Also, the choice with our fish and chips was a side salad, and I didn't want salad with that meal, but there was no alternative , which I thought was unusual as the meal was expensive for what it was. Of course, our meal was a big disappointment, not what was expected at all in a place like this. The breakfast was delicious and plentiful.
