The Australian Hotel St George

Didn't stay but had a great meal here last night. The bistro was packed, and it looked like we all placed our orders at about the same time (6.15pm ish I cued up, order probably then placed 20 minutes later) it's a lot for any kitchen to handle. Food came out regularly, all large meals looking delicious and well cooked. We got ours maybe around 7.15pm...as to be expected, as I said. We just enjoyed a wine and chatted. We shared a chicken parmigiana, as the meals are large! It was tasty, cooked perfectly. So take it into account fellow diners, this kitchen did a fantastic job ! The outside area seemed to have a bit of a party atmosphere happening. Oh and it was toasty warm in the bistro dining area. Definitely reserve a table, I did so online and my reservation was there clearly printed. A great night, thanks !

Didn't stay in rooms but the breakfast is a delicious affordable way to start your day. Only Saturdays and Sundays but worth every cent. Dinner was well, needed more staff ,understand they were very busy but we waited over 1 hour for dinner. Waited in line to get drinks as only had 1 person serving drinks to a packed venue .

Excellent meal tonight! We had the pork ribs and chicken wings. Full plate with beautiful chips, coleslaw, corn cobs and sour cream and sweet chilly on the side. Cooked very well.
