The Barcelona Edition is a fantastic hotel that truly stands out for its prime location and exceptional staff. Nestled in the heart of the city, it offers easy access to many of Barcelona's top attractions, making it a perfect base for exploring. The highlight of my stay was undoubtedly the rooftop lounge, where the atmosphere was elevated by the outstanding service provided by Nelson. His attentiveness and friendly demeanor made our experience unforgettable. The stunning views, combined with the impeccable hospitality, made for a perfect evening. I highly recommend The Barcelona Edition for anyone looking to enjoy a luxurious stay in this vibrant city!

Was just here for a quick one night stay. The staff at this hotel are nothing short of exceptional. From check in to the concierge to the bellman who was an absolute gem. Pit picketers are rampant and the hotel has a security guard watch you while exiting the hotel waiting for a taxi. Falvio (possibly Fladio) went above and beyond this morning assisting us with getting a taxi large enough for our bags. This hotel is lucky to have someone as great as him! The hotel staff was kind enough to send a bottle of champagne in celebration of our 10th anniversary. Only wish they had it in our room upon checking in, not for us to find at 1130pm after dinner :) Highly recommend the hotel!

As a Marriott Ambassador Elite member, I had high expectations for my stay, unfortunately, this turned out to be the worst hotel experience I’ve ever had. After arriving in Barcelona on July 9, 2025, my Lufthansa flight informed me that my baggage was delayed. I was told by airport staff that my bag would arrive the next morning and be delivered to the hotel. Lufthansa confirmed it was delivered on July 10. But the hotel repeatedly told me, both in person and over the phone, that the luggage hadn’t arrived. I followed up multiple times on July 10, 11, and 12. Only after I told the hotel that Lufthansa confirmed delivery did they call me back, two minutes later, claiming the bag had “just arrived.” Then, oddly, a staff member later told me it had actually been there since the previous day. Their stories were completely inconsistent. This lack of transparency and professionalism wasted so much of my time and energy. I had to buy essentials for myself and my daughter while waiting days for a bag that was supposedly already at the hotel. There was no ownership, no clarity, and no genuine effort to help. When I raised the issue at the front desk, I received vague and conflicting answers. On the morning of checkout, two staff members apologized and said they’d “do something” to make it right. But nothing was offered. No gesture of goodwill. Nothing. To make matters worse, after my complaint, staff at the reception noticeably avoided me, no greetings, no eye contact, just cold stares. That’s unacceptable hospitality in any hotel, let alone a Marriott. I’ve been a loyal Marriott guest for years, but this experience has seriously shaken my trust in the brand. If you’re looking for accountability, clear communication, and respectful service, this hotel is not it.
