I was at the rooftop pool and bar. The rooftop was wonderful with a mix of locals and hotel guests from all over the world. Everybody was convivial and enjoyed the afternoon. Felicia the bartender set the mood for the entire rooftop though - she is attentive, vivacious, engaging and a truly talented bartender. I also thought the kitchen was wonderful. Everything was fresh and prepared excellently - complimenting the bar service and pool nicely.
This place is perfect spot if you aren’t a lover of the downtown life, but want to be in walking distance of the main strip. Service was top notch. And the cafe has some good lattes. The roof top pool and bar has a lot of privacy. The pool is smaller, But it has some beautiful views. We didn’t get to try the restaurant or the brunch place, but We will definitely be back to try both!
once upon a Time I would’ve given it five out of five all the way around. The rooms are great. They are really large and have a vintage feel with record players, old school full-size fridge, and lots of amenities. there is a nice bar area downstairs as well as Wen right outside the restaurant. The restaurant serves really nice at Italian food. Service at one time was just exceptional, but it’s been a little bit hit or miss lately. There’s some policies that just don’t make sense like they started closing the pool at 6 PM, even though the sign says 9 PM, and it’s hot as heck in New Orleans during the summer. Why close the pool at 6 PM? There is no breakfast served during the summer at the restaurant so if you’re OK with the coffee shop I guess that’s good. However, I expect a little bit more from a Hyatt property like this. I’ll probably start coming back again in the fall, but I think I’m gonna find a different location to go to during the summer.
