The Barracks Inn

From making the initial contact for the reservation through registration and breakfast the next morning the staff could not have been more welcoming or attentive. The building is a treasure which has been lovingly restored. Everything was excellent, clean and quiet. The room was huge with the biggest bed we have ever slept it. My wife had a bad knee and they even provided a step stool to make it easier for her to climb in and out! The bathroom was luxurious. Only minor quibbles were the TV was slow and complicated, but we weren’t there for TV anyway, and the breakfast was underwhelming, maybe due to our later sitting. There’s no restaurant or bar but there’s plenty of options within a block or two. Highly recommended

An Unforgettable Experience on Our Wedding Night! My husband and I stayed at The Barracks Inn on the night of our wedding, and we were truly blown away by how fantastic the entire experience was. From the moment we made our booking to the many questions and requests we had along the way, the staff were incredibly attentive, helpful, and generous. They consistently took the time to assist us with everything we needed in the days leading up to the wedding, allowing us to focus on our big day without the added stress of accommodation worries. We arrived at The Barracks Inn the day before the wedding and were greeted by an extremely kind and helpful staff member (I wish I could remember her name!) who went out of her way to ensure everything would be smooth and stress-free for us. Many of our wedding guests also stayed at the hotel, and every one of them had nothing but positive things to say about their experience. On the night of our wedding, we stayed in the Royal Suite. The room was beautiful, impeccably clean, and thoughtfully prepared—it truly felt special. We’re so grateful for the outstanding service and the extra support we received throughout the entire process. Check in was a great experience with Rachel. She took time to Google answers to questions regarding the local area and surprised us with a beautiful room upgrade. The Inn has interesting history but provides all the luxuries of modern day. The Officers suite had a private balcony and the most amazing shower! The room was spacious, comfortable and clean. Breakfast was included and several restaurants were within walking distance. Also, a big shout-out to Laura for making our stay so special.
