The Barrington Guest House Hotel

We had a lovely stay while visiting family in Scarborough. The rooms are done to a very high standard. The bed was super comfy, and lovely bedding. Very nice bathroom, great shower. The location is excellent just a few minutes from sea front. The parking was fine too the properitor sold us a parking permit. We will definitely be back when visiting family.

Well-Located Gem with Thoughtful Touches Really enjoyed my stay at The Barrington Guest House in Scarborough. The décor was lovely throughout, and the smart, stylish bathroom felt freshly updated. The host was genuinely warm and helpful, which made the whole experience feel that bit more personal. Having a fridge in the room was a great bonus - especially in summer! My only suggestion would be to consider adding a fan for those warmer days. The central location was ideal, with everything just a short walk away, including the beach and the castle. A heads-up: during events like Armed Forces Day, parking can be tricky (though not impossible). And as with anywhere in Scarborough, ear plugs for the seagulls wouldn’t go amiss! All in all, a comfortable and welcoming place - I’d definitely return.

We stayed for two nights in the small double room which was decorated to a high standard with quality furnishings. The bed was very comfortable and provided a great nights sleep until the seagull alarm clock went off🤣 All linens were spotlessly clean and are of good quality giving a luxurious feel. Staff were great and provided local information. Would highly recommend a stay here and if we are back in Scarborough will try and book again.
