The Base Andermatt

Our stay at The Base Andermatt was absolutely perfect! The apartment was simply amazing—so spacious, impeccably clean, and equipped with everything you need for a perfect ski holiday. From the moment we arrived, we felt at home in this modern yet cosy space. The kitchen was fully equipped, making it super convenient to prepare meals after a long day on the slopes. The soft linen, plush towels, and even provided slippers added an extra touch of comfort and luxury. One of the highlights was definitely the breathtaking mountain views from our apartment. Even the bathroom offered stunning views, allowing us to enjoy a shower while looking at the Alps—such a unique experience! Plus, the apartment had a bathtub, which was perfect for relaxing after skiing. The property itself is well-designed and has everything you could ask for. There’s underground parking, a ski room to store your equipment, and even a sauna—which we really enjoyed after spending the day on the slopes. Another unbeatable feature is its location—right in front of the gondola, making skiing incredibly convenient. A special mention to Concierge Michele—he is simply the best! Super helpful, kind, and always ready to assist with anything we needed. His recommendations and hospitality made our stay even more enjoyable. The Base Andermatt exceeded all our expectations. A truly fantastic place to stay, whether you’re visiting for skiing or simply to enjoy the beauty of the Swiss Alps. We can’t wait to return!

Amazing service and location! 2 minute walk from the train station, next to a lift up, beautiful rooms with kitchen, laundry facilities downstairs, sauna, and the nicest staff ever. Such a great experience!

We arrived in the evening and left in the morning. This was our first visit to Andermatt and we were just passing through. Michele the manager was great: he was super attentive and his pre-check-in communications were precise and anticipatory. I appreciated his hospitality. However, for the price we paid, we could have stayed at a full-service hotel in town and had a full breakfast and access to other facilities normally available at a hotel. The apartment was very clean but frankly the quality of the fit-out is not on par with the price we paid. Also, while the apartment was warm, the ventilation was not great so we had to open the window at night, only to be woken up by the passing train, trucks, and other vehicles. This was a very basic apartment; I'd say a 2-3 star apartment. So even though we had a decent experience, next time we would definitely try a full-service hotel.
