The Bay

The Bay has incredible sea views and you could easily spend 2 weeks reading books staring out at the Indian Ocean! The restaur overlooks the beach and is very romantic especially at sunset! The staff are extremely friendly and it is a great place to pop into for a drink or a meal

We stayed here for a week at the end of a three week trip to Mauritius and what a prefect ending it was. The high quality yet relaxed and welcoming vibe was wonderful. Every member of staff was so friendly and helpful - from the parking attendant, the receptionists (special thanks to Emilie for recommending an amazing swimming with dolphins experience), the housekeeping & maintenance team (special thanks to Benedict for taking such good care of our room) and restaurant / kitchen / bar staff (everyone was amazing but special thanks to Avish for excellent recommendations). Our room was wonderful, with spectacular sea (and sunset views) - it was a spacious and calm retreat and the balcony was great. Bed was huge and very comfortable and bathroom was well equipped. We ate in the restaurant a number of times and the food and service were consistently excellent. The regular menu has good choice but the specials board meant that there was something new to try every day. Tbh, it was an effort to make ourselves go out and try other places! The bar and pool area make for a great place to relax with a range of different seating areas / loungers. We had a truly fantastic stay and would rebook in a heartbeat! Huge thank you to all the staff who made it such a wonderful experience.

Went to The Bay for lunch. Food and the view were great but an unexpected 200 rupees was added to my bill. On the menu it says 3200 rupees for a mixed grill plus "choose your sides". When I paid I asked the waitress why i was charged 200 rupees for the sides since i thought it came with the sides. she said no it doesn't. So i paid for it. Upon arriving home I realised I took a pic of the menu and it does not show a price for the sides! It just says "choose your sides" so why did she charge me an extra 200 rupees? After the meal to get the dessert menu, we had to stand up to get their attention. I was fed up of waiting for the waitress to come and take my order so i went to the bar to order. To pay i didn't want to wait any longer so I paid upon walking out. The 2 guys that served me first were good but the last waitress wasn't. Especially charging me an extra 200 rupees for no reason I didn't stay in the room so I cant comment on that.
