The Bay Hotel

Brilliant romantic weekend away. The rooms with views were fully booked so we had a deluxe room facing the back of the hotel. It was very quiet, peaceful and comfortable. The room had air con which I was surprised at, in fact there were lots of little extra luxury things I was surprised at that made it feel like a high end hotel (nicely folded toilet roll, Scottish fine soaps and shower gel etc). It felt like they cared about their clientele and wanted you there. Something absolutely missing from most places these days. Pool was included, exceptionally clean and lots of fun for the kids. Entertainment was included, something to do if nothing else! The restaurant was great, lovely breakfasts included and we had dinner one night which was lovely again and reasonably priced. The views were absolutely stunning no matter where you sat and we enjoyed a few drinks in the evening on the balcony outside the restaurant and coffees in the morning. Most importantly it is safe for Coeliacs and we were impressed at how much the staff knew about it, very rare indeed. All the staff were great and super friendly. All in all, we can't wait to go back!

Stayed only one night..lovely choice of complimentary tea,coffee, hotchocolste and generous supply of lovely shortbread. We ate in restaurant as we checked in late. Beautiful food and wine and service was fantastic and a beautiful view of firth of forth as we ate. Breakfast next day was equally fantastic. Locally sourced top quality food. Cooked to perfection...we didn't eat till teatime as it was so filling.. Can't wait to go back again.

Hotel really needs to think about how it caters for dog owners. Asked if we could eat outside with our West Highland Terrier and not allowed. We are not staying in the park so accommodation not applicable to us. Will need to be the last time we choose this location for my family’s annual get together unfortunately as enjoyed previous visits.
