The Bear Inn

A little gem! Fantastic, friendly service and delicious food. Was a lucky mistake, had planned to go elsewhere but we were so glad we ended up at the Bear! Definitely recommend. The vegetarian Singapore noodles were amazing, in fact there is a great range of veggie and vegan food. Partner had a meaty burger which he loved. Good children's menu too, not just the usual chicken nuggets and fish fingers (although I think those were there too!). We'll be back!

We visited The Bear Inn in Llandovery for a Father’s Day meal and had such a fantastic experience, I felt compelled to leave a review. We booked a table for four (Table 19) and were looked after by our server, Meg, who was absolutely brilliant from start to finish. Our son Caleb has multiple food allergies, which can often make eating out stressful — but not this time. Meg went above and beyond to ensure Caleb was safe and well-catered for. She patiently helped us go through the allergen guide, liaised with the kitchen, and made sure every detail of his meal was double-checked. The kitchen staff also cross-checked ingredients and showed real care and attention. This was our first visit to The Bear Inn, and it certainly won’t be our last. The food was delicious, the atmosphere welcoming, and the service exceptional. We’re already looking forward to returning again soon. Highly recommended — especially if you’re looking for a place that takes allergies seriously and treats every guest with genuine warmth and care.

We spent the night here on the way through to the port at Fishguard. The staff were extremely helpful and accommodating for us however if you are planning on staying here it's worth noting that the accommodation itself is tired and outdated. The bathrooms in particular are not really up to standard given the price of the rooms. This is much more of a budget accommodation, not at budget prices. But once again, staff super friendly and kind.
