The Bell at Hampton Poyle

This is my 2nd time staying at The Bell at Hampton Poyle. The room (rm3) was great. It was clean, spacious and had everything I needed. The monsoon shower was particularly nice. The staff were friendly, professional and very helpful. My evening meal and breakfast were delicious. I am gluten intolerant and while allergens were not listed on the menu, the staff were extremely helpful, with the chef willing and able to adapt most dishes to my dietary requirements. They were also very accommodating with my early breakfast pre-order, as I needed to leave by 7am to attend a meeting nearby. This was very much appreciated. Thank-you. I will be returning.

Great little spot. Some problems with warm drinks and incorrect bar orders but they were comped by the lovely restaurant staff after a very nice meal. Food was good and the the very young staff friendly and helpful if lacking a little experience. Stayed over also and the room was spotless and cozy. Recommended.

Avoid the restaurant. Our party of 4 had dinner on a Wednesday night and there were no pizzas or salads available, leaving one vegetarian main which was served with chicken inside. The sausage Catherine wheel was just bangers and mash, and we all had the same green leaves as whatever our accompanying “Chinese slaw” etc. was supposed to be. The “artisanal French baguette” is a Tesco bake at home job. Not only that but nothing had any taste. Felt bad for the serving guy who had to keep apologising. Won’t be eating there again.
