Just wrapped up my stay at The Bene Hotel Kuta, and honestly, it was a vibe! The reception team deserves a shoutout—always smiling, always welcoming. If greeting guests were an Olympic sport, they’d win gold. Location-wise, it’s a gem—just a short stroll to Kuta Beach and Legian market (perfect for beach bums and bargain hunters). The rooms were clean, the bed was comfy, and yes—there’s a pool that makes for a great post-exploration cooldown. Room service? Super quick. I had an issue with the balcony door, and within 10 minutes, someone showed up like a repair ninja and fixed it like a pro. Although the hotel is tucked away at the end of an alley, the surrounding area is lively and full of energy Bonus points for the water dispenser on every floor (hydration is key), nearby warungs with delicious local food, and scooter rental shops , money exchange right around the corner. Everything’s convenient and budget-friendly—just how we like it. Will definitely return. Unless Bali decides to move. Then we’ll have to talk.

Beware, there is fragile soap and shampoo container ready to break. They will fine you 450k or more on each item. The purpose is to put them in bathroom so that guest can be reckless and slipped the container and break into pieces. It's a trap grabbing money from guests. I will not go in this place anymore 2/10 bad experience.

Prior to booking, I read several positive reviews which led me to choose this hotel. Unfortunately, my experience fell far short of expectations. Although the hotel was advertised as being near the airport, the traffic situation made travel extremely inconvenient — it took almost an hour just to get there. Check-in was smooth, and the requests I made in advance were met, which I appreciated. However, the problems began shortly after. We booked two rooms, including a Royal Suite, which was in serious need of maintenance. The toilet flushing system was faulty; although maintenance came to fix it, the same issue persisted throughout our 3-night stay. Additionally, the room experienced multiple power trips, adding to the inconvenience. The second room also had issues. The in-room safe was not functioning and had to be repaired. Worse, there were visible stains and dirt on the floor, mould on the shower walls, and overall cleanliness was poor. It’s also worth noting that the tap water in Bali isn’t safe even for brushing teeth — something guests should be warned about clearly in the room. To make matters worse, on the day of check-out, the only lift in the building was out of order. We had to carry four large suitcases down from the 4th floor by ourselves. Despite calling the reception three times for help, no one answered. Then, the check-out inspection took nearly 30 minutes, further delaying our departure. Overall, this was a very disappointing stay. The hotel has potential, but the lack of upkeep, poor service, and basic facilities not functioning properly made the experience far from enjoyable.
