The Bickford Arms

We stayed locally on holiday and found this little jewel in the countryside. We booked a table for 3 and we had a small dog. Our dog was made super welcome and very comfortable as were we. The food was superb, tasty and plenty of it. The service was second to none from Steph and Lauren. No problem with parking on site. Highly recommended for a visit. Really enjoyed our visit.

Husband and I rang and had impromptu dinner this evening. Food was excellent, well priced, lovely portion sizes. Steak pie was so succulent and I upgraded from mash to fries no additional charge. Lady behind the bar so open and welcoming. Definitely a return visit in order.

Stayed here for one night due to working away in the area. All of the staff were very friendly and helpful, great atmosphere in the pub and the locals were all welcoming. Plenty of parking in the car park and safe too for work vehicles. Rooms were good, bedsheets extremely soft and plenty of pillows. Shower had good power and pressure, spacious room in general and nothing to moan about. Fan provided during the hot weather and windows also open. Food was excellent and well priced for dinner, plenty of options for drinks and once again prices were fair. Couldn’t fault the service from the staff. Breakfast in the morning was the same great quality, the staff member couldn’t have been more helpful and I didn’t wait long for the cooked brekkie. Will definitely stay here again, as well as other engineers from our firm when working in this area. Local shops about 7 minutes away including a large Waitrose, which is a bonus as I’d run out of deodorant!
