The Black Bull Inn

We recently held our wedding reception at The Black Bull Inn in Balsham and couldn’t be happier with our experience! From start to finish, the staff were incredibly helpful, friendly, and accommodating—nothing was too much trouble. The pub and function room were absolutely perfect for our celebration, with a warm and welcoming atmosphere that made the day feel so special. The outdoor spaces, including the beer garden and seating area, were a lovely bonus and gave our guests plenty of room to relax and enjoy the sunshine. There’s also ample parking, which made things easy for everyone attending. We stayed overnight two nights and found the rooms to be spotless, comfortable, and beautifully presented. Breakfast the next morning was delicious, with a great selection to suit all tastes. The food for our wedding reception was outstanding—full flavour and beautifully prepared, and the same can be said for the dinner service. Our guests are still talking about how good the food was! We can’t recommend The Black Bull Inn highly enough—thank you to all the staff for making our day so memorable.

The food here is outstanding. The best steak pie any of us have had. Exceptionally talented chef. Service equally outstanding. The pub is picturesque & properly old, without being pretentious, and the rooms really cosy. Very special. Come here.

Lovely roast lamb dinner, however Was a little disappointed in the dry roast potatoes and there was alot of gravey all ready put onto the dinner. Would have liked the opportunity to choose the amount as I couldn't really taste the lamb due to this. Excellent service.
