I found a great pub in Maldon that I had heard about from someone I met in New Zealand, so I decided to stay there. My room was a bit noisy due to a band playing in the garden bar, but the music stopped around 11 PM. Breakfast was included, and it was definitely a good meal. The small bar was busy, and the garden bar was packed with party-goers. Overall, I'm very happy that I chose to stay here.
Great period building, the room was a bit snug , but totally adequate. Staff are first class , parking on site. We were on the first floor a lot of stairs , I did not see a lift so people not so sure footed might be advisable to request a ground floor room. Great breakfast good coffee. Even has it's own bar and beer garden.
Room was nice but the stairs getting up to the room are a tad hard going. Breakfast was adequate. Staff in general were really nice apart from the lady bar staff who I found quite rude.
