The Bluebell Hotel

Great location but very dirty and needs some maintenance. Its totally lost its atmosphere. Disinterested staff in jeans. It was a nice hotel years ago but hasn't had any money spent on it. Ripped curtains, black grout in the shower, broken furniture. Very disappointed. Breakfast was good though.

Very expensive for what you get there. Air conditioning broken for a long time Very small poor quality breakfast Staff are very friendly but don't have the ability to do a lot. Rooms are clean and plenty of space But after a number of stays there work related definitely better just down the road.

The Hotel is ideally situated for the local bars and restaurants. The staff are kind and attentive. The breakfast certainly beats the chains (premier inn, holiday inn etc). The trouble is the absolute state of the building. The ceiling tiles are mouldy with almost stalactites coming down. The rooms have broken fittings such as door hinges walls and failed electrical equipment. The beds are like cardboard. With a deep clean and some basic repairs this would be a good hotel. Some investment is needed before some form of health establishment takes the decision for them.
