Located within a fairly basic Rome apartment block ( hence ‘hostel’ not ‘hotel’). Ignore that and discover a lovely room, stylishly decorated, quiet. And nice size. Couple that with extremely friendly owners, nice welcome and helpful when help needed, means this is a find. The area is not upmarket, but then the room is not €500. ! Only negative are the stairs if overloaded with too much luggage. Scowl from a permanent resident in one of the apartments turned to a smile when an offer of help carrying her bags up was made.
We really LOVE the Blue Hostel. It's hidden away up a few flights of stairs. The room feels like a safe haven in busy Rome. It's tastefully decorated, comfortable, quiet and spacious. The beds are amazing. We slept like babies. Alessandro is an amazing host and has given us great tips for food and visits.
This place is home away from home! Alessandro went above and beyond to ensure I had a great stay. The room was immaculate with a little terrace, I felt relaxed and had a beautiful and safe base to explore Roma. This was my second time staying here - there will definitely be a third!!!
