The Bohemian Place

Small, cozy, and clean room. The bed was comfortable. The water in the shower is unpredictable but usually very hot although lacking pressure. Close to the core of the city and its canal system. Free parking a short 2 minutes walk.

I don't normally leave grumpy reviews but I really wish I'd not bothered staying here - anyone reading who thinks the decor looks charming and good location should be warned. The room I booked shared big, leaky doors with another room so we could hear absolutely everything and I'm sure they could hear us. Request to be moved was met with disinterest. The toilet was right opposite the bed, with a pane of glass between it. Extremely loud main road beneath window. Check in was late and confusing. Room stank of smoke from wildfires (curtains especially) which is not their fault but they could have tried to air it out,. Thanks only to the friendly warm housekeeper lady in the cafe below who was the only person who made us feel even slightly welcome.

The Bohemian Place is a below average guest house. The facilities haver a check-in machine which means that during your stay you never actually talk to anyone welcoming you to the place. The room was rather small, nothing like the pictures, the bathroom was weird looking, the bedroom lacked a proper cleaning (clearly the cleaning staff is overwhelmed with all the rooms), there was no proper water pressure in the shower, the soap and the shampoo that they say they supplied was crearly not enought for our stay and it was not replenished. The saving grace was the person at the breakfast (which by the way, you have to exit the building to access it), once again she was underwhelmed dealing with the breakfast all by herself, restocking the food trays and so on. The food was good. I will clearly not stay here again, as long as I remember.
