The Bondgate Boutique

Great little hotel that is well equipped nice cosy rooms good central location on the edge of alnwick Town centre easy walking distance to everywhere in town.carpark next door was very handy. Rooms nice and clean just what you would expect would use this hotel again what's not to like. Alnwick makes a great base to visit lots of places in the area within a 25 mile radius so not too much driving to do.

Pros: (1) Convenient location. All the attractions we were interested in were within walking distance of the premises. Good selection of restaurants and coffee shops in the immediate vicinity of the building. (2) Room was very clean, with nice touches for amenities and little snacks/teas. (3) Managers were helpful when I made an error in the booking, helping to get it sorted quickly. Cons: (1) We were told there was storage space we could use for our luggage after we had checked out. Then, the morning of our check out, we were emailed and told this was no longer possible, with no explanation given. As we had already made day plans and travel arrangements under the assumption of luggage storage, this made for a somewhat miserable final day in Alnwick as we had to carry our luggage everywhere with us. This issue is the main reason why I’ve given three stars rather than higher. (2) The building is adjacent to a busy street, so our front-facing room was rather noisy in the mornings. Some amount of noise off a busy street must be expected, so just be aware of this. In our case, we had the added misfortune of a water pipe bursting on the street at 3 am and were kept awake by drilling and repair works. However, on a positive note, ear plugs are provided in the room. This thoughtful touch was much appreciated.

Room.small very hot shower drain was lifting could smell in room most of the time other than that clean pleasent place ,def need to sort drains out ,also front room no 2 is very noisy off road
