The Bostancı Otel

Very friendly staff, especially Sarp from the cafe. The terasse is very nice an we were able to sit there very long. The beds are comfy and the rooms spacious and clean.

Short resume: It’s no stars hotel. Maybe 1-star but i’m not sure :). The good part: our room didn’t have any bad smells, mattress on the bad surprisingly not bad :), but the pillows was bad and badsheets feels as really cheap synthetic material. Maybe location. Maybe price (for us was cost 80 eur night) Bad part: any other things in the room was really amortised, including service :). Toilet no space with bath cabin :), just 1/2 toilet papers ruller :), bath cabin didn’t have a door :), dirty panorama windows, rust in a teapot and so on. In general i’m not recommended this place except the extreme situations or as a pitstop by the way.

I had a reservation at Bostancı Hotel in Istanbul from June 16 to June 20. Due to the war situation and canceled flights, I couldn’t travel to Istanbul. I contacted the hotel before the reservation date to cancel or change my booking, but they never responded. An Iranian travel agency told me to go to the hotel in person, which was not possible. I called the hotel several times and explained my situation in English, but the staff said they didn’t speak English and hung up on me. I tried again multiple times, but no one helped. Very unprofessional and disappointing. A hotel in Istanbul should have at least one English-speaking staff member. I expected better communication and service.
