It was like stepping into the past. Beautiful hotel centrally located downtown Denver within walking distance of food and shopping and only 15 min away from luxury shopping. The beautiful music in the lobby and tea time adds to the experience. Staff was wonderful. It is pricey and parking at the hotel is extra but totally worth it. Recommend to anyone visiting Denver.

Amazing hotel. If you're looking for historical charm and excellent service, this hotel amply supplies both. The staff is welcoming and went over and above to help me out in securing a room, after my previous hotel's A/C was discovered to not be working. Diamond and Brian were very kind and helped make my hotel transfer as smooth as possible. Tony the maintenance person came during my stay to help me out with a light bulb issue, and he was very sweet. This hotel has very old school charm and it is a pleasure to find a uniquely charming grand hotel in downtown Denver.

The Brown Palace is an icon, and I decided to stay there instead of the typical modern hotel. The service is impeccable and I can't say enough great things about the people who work there, special shout-out to Matthew. Unfortunately, the hotel is in serious need of refurbishing. Even though the hotel is technically a Marriott autograph hotel, it's run by a separate management group. The Air conditioning system is over 60 years old and had to switch rooms twice to get a functioning system though it just ran and ran without being able to really cool the room. The bed was old and creaky, but the manager did provide a top cushion which helped. Had to ask for a bathrobe, which is supposed to be standard. It was worn with a frayed tie and a hole. Having already asked for a room change and bed service, I just didn't want to ask for more. There was no shelving in the bathroom and since it was teeny tiny, I had to get creative to find space for essentials...and no shelf in the shower with plugged shower head. The place still has grandeur but in need of a major overhaul to return it to its previous beauty. The room coffee was great, but the same coffee downstairs in the shop...burned taste, expensive and undrinkable. I apologize for the negative comments but just would really like to see the hotel refurbished to what it should be.
