The Bryant Park Hotel

My wife and I just returned home from our trip to New York City where we had the absolute pleasure of staying at the Bryant Park Hotel for three days for our elopement. This hotel is an absolute gem - we were initially reticent to stay so close to Times Square, but the hotel is far enough away that you can avoid the crowds and noise, but close enough you can pop over for a quick show (we saw Hadestown and it was incredible). When we divulged we were there for our elopement, the staff was almost as excited as we were - upgraded our room and had a bottle waiting for us along with some truffles when we returned after dropping our bags. They also brought our bags upstairs for us and walked us to the elevator. The rooms are breathtaking, the views of the park are phenomenal, and the cocktail bar was wonderful. We did not get a chance to enjoy the restaurant, but it always had a large crowd. Being right on Bryant Park was excellent - we were able to hear Broadway in the Park from our room. If you're worried about noise, our room also had ear plugs in the bathroom, which I thought was an excellent touch. We don't treat ourselves to nice hotels often, but the Bryant was exceedingly worth it, and the best choice we could have possibly made.

I stayed in the Bryant Park Hotel on a business trip which called for meetings at NASDAQ and other business locations. The rooms are delightfully large and well appointed. The location proved to be superb. And the staff was simply amazing! Each staff person was thoughtful and kind, but Josephine Kinsella of the Guest Relations staff made my stay truly memorable. I had forgotten to pack a tie, and when I asked Jo if there was a store nearby where I could purchase a tie, she and her Team went into action and one of the male members brought me his personal tie which was a perfect solution! Always with a positive attitude, the Bryant Park Hotel demonstrates the real hospitality of a boutique hotel! I am now a HUGE fan!

The hotel is in a great location, looking at Bryant Park. We booked the Junior suite, very nice spacious room, spotlessly clean with a comfortable bed, but no coffee machine. After staying at a nearby hotel on my quarterly visits to NY, I decided to try this hotel, which I stayed at couple of years ago. The hotel is going through an external renovation and part of it has scaffolding. I don’t recall it was mentioned on there website when I made the reservation. First room had a view of a construction site and the second (after asking to replace) had a view to what look like a big air condition compressor… not what you expect when you book a junior suite or any room. The service was below the standard I’m used to receiving at my regular hotel. I’ll return to the good old one…
