This is a rather special old inn. We had a wonderful, though very brief, overnight stay with breakfast in the morning, the day after a long road journey. Wound down with a nightcap in the company of James and Jules at the bar; they were great hosts. The room and, in particular, the bed were just superb. The bathroom: everything clean and just as you'd want it. Mary made us a very good breakfast and was also very friendly. It was clear all the staff we met actually care and want their guests to enjoy their stay and be comfortable. Highly recommended.
Attended a wedding and spent two nights here. All the staff were brilliant and couldn't have been more helpful and attentive. The room was a great size and very comfortable. Excellent food as well although some starters seem to be more like tapas dishes. Not much to do in Wrotham itself but conveniently located for motorways.
poor acoustic privacy between my room and the adjacent rooms, great pub downstairs though and the brisket was amazing. slightly steep for what i paid but perhaps that's just the location. ordered food at the bar and a 10% gratuity was automatically added which i was unimpressed by.
