The Bunyip Scenic Rim Resort

Lovely weekend away. Rob and Marina are fantastic hosts and the property is absolutely stunning. Suites are clean and comfy and the breakfasts and dinners on offer were delicious. Just wish it had been warm enough for a swim! Will hopefully be back soon.

A gorgeous retreat. Always love staying here. The food is amazing, we have never had a less than fabulous meal. Grass tennis courts, beautiful townhouse style apartments and stunning views. Better for couples.

Really upset by my experience at Bunyip Retreat during my wedding. The website/booking.com says children welcome and full access to facilities. Upon arrival, we were interrogated for having children with us and advised to 'keep them on a leash' during our stay. After the hosts explained that we were unable to use the kitchen or fridge to store/cook our food, myself and my guests were reminded of this multiple times. It says 'private and secluded' and yet after our initial experience with the hosts, it almost felt like we were being watched and checked up on. When we expressed this we were told it was a 'community' space.. even though we had hired out the whole retreat and the community was myself and my guests. I felt extremely anxious and unwelcome, like we had been stereotyped immediately and ended up swapping my position in this retreat with family members and staying at another accommodation for the night of my wedding. If you are having a wedding, I would recommend staying elsewhere. The views and house itself is amazing but the hosts are overwhelming and controlling. We had a phenomenal experience at another nearby stay house.
