I have never been treated so good at a hotel. Tony checked us in and treated us like family. He really made us feel special and the hotel was immaculate. He asked us if we were celebrating anything which we were, my girlfriend's college degree and birthday. He gave us some drink coupons and upgraded our room. The room was amazing and the bar staff were excellent. I have been traveling for 35 years and this experience was one of the best.
As a loyal Marriott Bonvoy customer, I was lucky enough to get an upgrade to a suite at this hotel. I stayed here overnight and I was astounded the moment I stepped into this hotel! It was a completely different feeling from the last time I stayed here 2 years ago. The lobby looked elegant and smelled heavenly! Jessica, at the front desk, was amazing! Very helpful and accommodating, although I can’t stay the same thing about the hotel staff from 2 years ago! The room I stayed in was completely remodeled; bathroom was spacious, fully stocked with toilet amenities, and so clean! The next morning, I ordered room service and the food was excellent! I had such a terrible experience from the last time I stayed here that I didn’t think I will actually enjoy it this time around. I will definitely be coming back!
You can get way more for your money elsewhere. The Westin Downtown Phoenix is by far more luxurious than this. I would not rate this a 5 star hotel. They lobby is nice. The guy at the front desk was nice. The food was decent, if you don't mind a 45 min wait. They didn't cook my food to my order and then told me they did, like the order was wrong, not the way they cooked it. The room was 3 stars at best. The water station filter lights were on and needed to be changed. The toilet paper was the cheapest toilet paper I have ever used at a hotel. The shower doors were broke. The light in the bathroom did not work. The phone charger outlets were a hit and miss. The room was clean but not immaculate. The vents were disgusting. The bed was uncomfortable, and the pillows were even worse. They told me there were bathtubs in the rooms. However, there were not. I was extremely disappointed and unsatisfied. They would have to do something special to make up for such a disappointment, to get me to come back again.
