I moved to Capital 15 on Orange for the remainder of my stay in Cape Town after finding my original hotel far too small and noisy. The difference was immediate and impressive. From check-in to check-out, the experience was professional, comfortable, and a reminder of what proper hospitality should feel like. The room was spacious, bright, and quiet, with a sofa, large wardrobe (complete with robes, slippers, iron and ironing board), and a well-designed bathroom with both a separate shower and bathtub. Coffee pods and bottled water were replenished daily, which was a thoughtful touch. Housekeeping was excellent – my room was always serviced while I was at breakfast, which made a real difference. Although I didn’t dine at the hotel, all the staff I dealt with were warm, helpful and quick to respond. A minor issue with the air conditioning was resolved efficiently. Parking is free and on-site. The towels were large and mostly fluffy, and the bathroom amenities were good quality. The large windows filled the room with light during the day, but the blackout curtains ensured a dark, restful sleep at night. If I had to mention one minor flaw, it would be the small room safe – a bit tight for a laptop – but that’s nitpicking in what was otherwise a seamless experience. My room attendant was particularly friendly and happy to help with any extras. A thoroughly enjoyable stay. I’ll definitely be back.
Stunning views of your room is located on the "view side" we were upgraded, so our room was beautiful. Comfortable mattress and linen. Stunning bathroom. Very clean and well thought out space. Lovely restaurant. Tasty food. Room service. And nice breakfast buffet. Great service. The spa was absolutely amazing! Really, it made our stay! This is a little gem in gardens cape town. We will definitely be back.
While we appreciated certain aspects of our stay, our experience did not fully align with the standard the hotel aims to deliver. At breakfast this morning, we were informed by the hostess that only one person had been booked for the buffet, even though my boyfriend had confirmed arrangements for two the night before. She said she would speak to her manager, but instead of updating us directly, she continued glancing at us while speaking with her colleagues. We sat waiting for clarification until the manager eventually approached and mentioned he would look into it, acknowledging that he was aware of the arrangements made the previous evening. Again, we waited for further communication from either the manager or the hostess, but none came. As we were finishing our breakfast, the hostess continued to give us unwelcome stares. It was only at that point that a waitress came over and brought us a bill for the breakfast—despite it already being paid for the night before. We had to ask her to call the manager who then finally informed us that everything was sorted. We weren't upset with the waitress, but rather with the lack of communication among the staff. The hostess’s behavior, making comments and giving looks instead of offering an explanation, came across as unprofessional. There also seemed to be poor communication across other departments. We had credit to use during our stay and instructed staff to deduct our room service and bar charges from this credit. However, this appeared to confuse several staff members, as no one seemed to be tracking our purchases. Upon checkout, the front desk staff believed we hadn't used our credit at all and stated the hotel owed us money. Despite these issues—including minor maintenance concerns such as stained bathroom walls, a clogged sink, and some non-working lights—we did enjoy parts of our stay. Special thanks to the staff at the parking entrance and the bar. One bar staff member, in particular, stood out—he wears glasses and usually works evening shifts. His friendly service and engaging conversation truly made our night. Thank you for your hospitality.
