The Carlton Hsinchu

Stayed in twin room for 2 nights. The room and toilet is huge. Bed is firm to my liking so very comfortable. Location wise - there's a bit of walking from train station. there's many food options around so it's fairly convenient. The hotel has 24 hr lounge area on level 1 where you can enjoy a cup of coffee/tea, snack or top up your water bottle. There's free laundry & dryer on level 12, superb! Very friendly receptionist. Great hotel, highly recommended.

Here for a week. Great business hotel, has laundry, gym, pool table and table tennis table as recreation. Had happy hour on Monday,and Thurs as well. Breakfast considered above average. Would visit again.

Overall, it was an enjoyable stay at the Carlton! The positive things: the room and the bathroom was very spacious, super clean, and the wooden decor is calming. We liked the bed being firm, and we found it so helpful that there was free laundry available on the top floor with washers and 2 dryers, along with some workout equipment and a pool table. The staff is friendly and the location is convenient if you want to explore the North District of Hsinchu or get lots of local food nearby. Lobby has a self-serve drink/snack area available anytime. The minor thing that could be improved is the shower. The shower water pressure seemed a bit low and the adjustability of the water temperature is not too easy as the hot water and cold water are separate spigots, so it takes a bit more time to adjust the water temp.
