The Carpenters Arms

Lovely location out in the countryside. Plenty of parking. Room was very pleasant and bed was super comfy. A well stocked drinks tray with a variety of tea, coffee hot chocolate and biscuits. Plenty of hot water and a fan to keep you cool. We enjoyed an evening meal sitting out on the terrace and slept well in the quiet location. Accessibility wise there’s a few odd steps you need to watch out for in and out of the pub and on the terrace. Accessing the room was a short flight of easy stairs with grab rail and a middle landing to rest on.

We had a great stay in this beautiful little inn. The room was lovely and the pub is very homey - we enjoyed the ambiance of locals chatting, but it was quiet by bedtime. One of the best breakfasts of our trip. Convenient to Bristol and Bath while still being out in the country.

Staff are very well trained, super friendly and attentive. It doesn't take a lot but so many places seem to get the basics wrong. The beer is always clean and fresh, you can tell that the pipes are cleaned regularly. The food is top notch and good value when you consider you pay them same price for a meal that is half as good elsewhere. I'd definitely recommend visiting this place.
