From start to finish, everything was meticulously organized to ensure a perfect blend of adventure, comfort, and cultural immersion. 🚙 Safari Ride: The highlight was undoubtedly the thrilling dune bashing. The caravan of 4x4 vehicles tackled the golden dunes with skilled drivers who made the ride exciting yet safe. The convoy moving together through the vast desert looked like a scene from an adventure film. 🏕️ Camp Setup: After the ride, we arrived at a beautiful desert camp, complete with traditional tents, cozy seating, and ambient lighting. The caravan staff welcomed us warmly with refreshments and ensured everyone felt at home. 🌅 Activities & Entertainment: Camel rides, sandboarding, and a mesmerizing sunset made the evening magical. Later, the cultural performances — folk music, belly dancing, and fire shows — added a vibrant local flavor. 🍽️ Food: Dinner was a lavish spread of local and continental dishes, served buffet-style. Everything tasted fresh and delicious, catering to both vegetarian and non-vegetarian guests. ✅ Overall: The Caravan delivered an authentic desert safari experience with great attention to comfort and hospitality. If you're looking for a captivating desert camp with fun safaris, cultural programs, and warm hospitality—and are comfortable handling slight rough edges—it’s a strong pick, with average overall ratings between 4.6–4.8 across platforms. But if you expect boutique-camp polish and fixed pricing, clarity ahead of time is key.

After reaching Jaisalmer, we received a call from the property informing us to collect the vouchers from there city office there they tried to scam us by taking the otp from my phone and logged in to my account they spoke in Rajasthani so we would not know they are taking our otp but i noticed a unusual login to my phone that might be the reason of their high ratings on MMT and next day they said that we wouldn’t be staying at the place we originally booked.They gave a reason for short circuit at the resort Instead, they moved us to Rajputana Desert Camp without giving us any choice.So i called MMT and informed this had happened i also went to the property’s location and i was shocked the property was under construction!! They also tried to scam us by selling overpriced packages like the Thar Desert Jeep Safari and Night Star Gazing for ₹8,000 each, claiming these were exclusive experiences. However, they also mentioned that we cant book these services on the spot, they were trying to mislead us. Upon checking, on spot we managed to get both for just ₹1,000 each. The rooms at Rajputana Desert Camp were in terrible condition. The bedsheets were dirty and smelled bad, the bathrooms had no hot water, and the rooms were completely unclean. I had booked a package that included a cultural program and a camel ride. The cultural program was below average, and to make things worse, the so-called "camel ride" was just a short ride near the tents, not in the actual Thar Desert. It was an utter disappointment. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone. Avoid it if you don’t want to be scammed Pro Tip:- Instead of staying at SAM sand dunes stay in the city after doing all the activities there all the activities like Camel Riding,Desert Safari,ATV,Dance program can be done under 3k for a family of 4 people.All the agencies at the city says higher cost,the cost at the location itself is dirt cheap you just have to haggle with them.
