I spent a night here. My room was really good! Very clean and bright. The breakfast was lovely, I really enjoyed the chef's special of tomato based poached egg.
I was very pleased with this location. It was exceptional service from the front staff to the housekeeping to the dining room staff. Everyone was amazing. I was very pleased with the room and how clean and neat the room was during my visit. I was also very pleased with the balcony and the scenic view. I was at this location for over a month because I was there for business as well as pleasure so during the month that I stayed at the location I was also pleased with the shuttle, room service, and the Security of the location. The laundry service was a little pricey and being there for over a month I had to use the laundry service a few times, so it became very pricey after a while, but the housekeeping was always very nice when picking up the laundry as well as bringing it back after being cleaned. I would certainly stay at this location on my next visit to South Africa.
We stayed at this hotel for two nights and unfortunately had a very uncomfortable experience. The room had no air conditioning, and instead of cooling, it was blowing hot air the entire time. We contacted maintenance, only to be told that this is a setting chosen by the hotel—which is unacceptable. We were sweating throughout our entire stay, and no solution was provided. Maybe the hotel assumes all guests are accustomed to the local climate, which isn’t always the case. To make matters worse, we were locked out of our room after a day out. When we returned to the front desk to have our key re-coded, we were casually told, “Oh, you’re checking out tomorrow, not today,” implying that staff had mistakenly assumed we had already checked out. All our stuff are still in the room. This level of miscommunication is frustrating and unprofessional. Overall, the experience was far below expectations, and we would not recommend this hotel. We are not paying for sauna but a decent Hotel room
