The Celecton Fukushima

Jan 4, 2025 Visibly right outside of west exit of Fukushima station hence a nice station view. Furniture a bit old and no automatic door lock but the interior feels kinda cozy and homey so I like it in a way. Bathroom is newly renovated so it’s still a comfortable stay. No electric outlet near the bed and no warm bed-light but it’s ok. I typically don’t have many expectations for a hotel buffet breakfast but the food was overall quite good and filling. The butter croissants 🥐 were so good!!! I missed out on the free evening curry (18-22h) so that would’ve been nice to try. Staff are friendly and accommodating. They brought my luggage that I left earlier in the day directly to my room. Check in and check out are both super fast. We booked on Booking so it was less than ¥7,000 for a queen bed for a night. Loved the stay!

I had a wonderful stay at the Celecton! The staff was so accommodating, even to my unreasonable request to change to a room with a nice view. The young man at the desk helped me out. And the view over Fukushima city and seeing the shinkansen fly by, was great. The free curry was fun, though it seems just like instant curry, I didn't notice any special flavour or colour. They helped us fix the broken coffee machine too. Cleaning lady was extremely polite! And updated our room with all the needed items. I stayed for 5 nights, and though the hotel is old style, it's fun to enjoy, like a trip back in time. I liked the glass elevator, got a kick riding it every time. And the location was excellent 👌🏻

The hotel has a great location being just next to the train station. The rooms were nice and clean. For anyone visiting Fukushima that is looking for a very central and fairly priced hotel I would say you can’t go wrong with this one !
