The Cellars Hohenort

I shared a day with my Mom at Cellars Hohenort Green House for High Tea and we felt like royalty. The high tea was scrumptious, so many different treats. We could not get through all the teas but I definitely have my favourite. The service was impeccable and all round it was a delightful experience. Breathtaking views and beautiful gardens to take a stroll through.

I recently stayed at The cellars while recovering from a hip operation , and I cannot express enough gratitude for the exceptional experience I had. From the moment I arrived the staff went out of their way to ensure my comfort and wellbeing. Nothing was too much trouble - whether it was adjusting arrangements to suit my mobility, offering thoughtful assistance at every turn. The service was impeccable, the surroundings serene and healing, and the support I received made my recovery feel so much more manageable. Thank you to everyone at The Cellars for making my stay so special. I left not only feeling stronger physically but also deeply cared for. Highly, highly recommend.

I recently stayed at this hotel, and while it’s clear that it’s a heritage property — which likely limits how much can be done in terms of modern upgrades due to preservation regulations — my stay was overall pleasant. The facilities may feel dated compared to more contemporary hotels, but what the place lacks in modernity, it more than makes up for in service. The staff were warm, attentive, and professional throughout my stay. The food was also a standout — fresh, well-prepared, and consistently impressive. If you’re looking for a stay that offers character, history, and truly exceptional service, this hotel is a solid choice. Just don’t expect ultra-modern amenities.
