The Centennial

While my stay at this hotel started off on a rocky note, I still feel it deserves a full 5 stars and that’s entirely because of one incredible staff member: Xavier. My check-in experience was less than ideal. Unfortunately, the front desk employee, Shavina, seemed completely uninterested in assisting guests. No smile, no welcome, no basic courtesy, it felt like she would have rather been anywhere else. It was a disappointing first impression, especially for such a beautiful hotel. But then came the saving grace of my stay, Xavier. Around 4 a.m., I found myself in a panic after my phone died (which is a nightmare when you’re traveling for business). Xavier didn’t hesitate, he offered to charge my phone and even made sure I could retrieve it before he got off work at 7 a.m. His kindness, quick thinking, and above and beyond service reminded me that there are people who genuinely care about their guests’ experience. Aside from that, the hotel itself is stunning, the interior design is absolutely breathtaking, with a warm, cozy vibe that makes you feel instantly at ease. It’s definitely one of the best hotels in the area in terms of ambiance and comfort. I’m still unsure if I’ll return, but I had to highlight the best part of my stay. Huge shoutout to Xavier, his selflessness and professionalism made all the difference.

We stayed at the Centennial when my daughter graduated from law school. Close walk to the ceremony and the hotel was so quaint! Our room was quite large, with it's own private balcony! It also had a separate sitting area, newly refinished bathroom and also a study area! There is also a restaurant and bar right on the premises!! The staff is very friendly. We would definitely stay here again.

I've stayed here twice. It's a great location within Concord. Easy walking distance to some restaurants and coffee shops. Breakfast is just okay, but is nevertheless easy coffee and cold breakfast items. The rooms were clean and large and were a blend of an old building with a modern hotel. The folks at the front desk were always engaging and happy to help.
