room 101 is beautiful and we loved the dedicated patio area. breakfast and drinks were great and the staff were all very friendly and helpful. as this is an old building, it has its quirks: hot water can be spotty during hours when it's most in demand by both guests and the restaurant kitchen. however, it's a small compromise for the overall atmosphere and service. the charm and character hotels like this offer more than make up for having to plan around plumbing. hope we can come back again for another anniversary!
We stayed at the Charles Hotel with friends and had a lovely time. Service at the lounge was wonderful - the manager noted that we found it too warm in the main lounge so quickly found us a table in the sunroom area which was perfect. Our server, James, who has served us several times in the past was awesome as always! This is why we come back!!
Visited the Charles for a wedding. I can not say enough about how cute and cozy everything was. As for our dinner....no words can compliment the chef and staff on the meal. From the apps at the bar to the sit down dinner the food and service was outstanding!! I will say, the steak you could cut with a fork! Kudos to everyone who made the reception out of this world!
