Beautiful relaxed pub, with friendly staff and good food. Stayed here overnight with the family. Ideal spot if you want to visit the Jurassic Coast for a day. We went to the Square & Compass pub at the coast and did the hike along the coast line.
Very nice tasty food at a good price. We were there with a group of eight and every single person was very happy with their main meal.. there were 6 different dishes ordered. (just don't order the bread pudding sweet.. not tasty 😏) Definitely go back when we're in the area.
I came here to enjoy a 40th birthday meal with a friend. I ordered the vegetable Cajun hotpot, unfortunately, it was absolutely inedible, it was more of a sweet and sour sauce, with emphasis on the sweet. The staff were very unhelpful in resolving my dislike for the food, sinply informing me that no refunds were available. I would advise the chef to try the food that is served, then they might discern how inedible it was. It did become a party piece however, with everyone trying it and saying how awful it was. Provided entertainment at least. Other meals were well received by friends, but not this one, and no offer to try and resolve the issue.
