The Chatsworth Hotel

Thanks to all the staff and the GM at The Chatsworth Hotel for a lovely weekend. Chatsworth is a classy yet modern hotel located along Eastbourne beach. Rooms are clean, with all required amenities, including a sea view, and occasional seagull visitor. The staff are all extremely friendly, and ready to provide any assistance. The building itself is over 100 years old, and features a spacious lobby room, evening pianist, and a fantastic H+C lift. Special thanks for the GM who put the tennis on in the lobby. Didn't get to have dinner, but did try desert, and I'd highly recommend the profiteroles. Other notable mentions are the gym, on-site masseuse, and hop on hop off stop just across the road by the Bandstand. Hotel aside, all the shops started their mid season sales whilst we were here, and it was nice to be able to shop minus the Oxford St madness.

Outstanding experience. We had the junior suite with seaview and it delivered on all fronts. Check in was swift and friendly, the room clean, comfortable and very spacious with double aspect and a wonderful view of the sea. We appreciated that the sash windows could be opened and we could enjoy the breeze on this sunny day. In the evening we had a memorable experience with pianists Alan and David entertaining (and educating) us over a few drinks and a very tasty dinner. Our room was so lovely we decided to enjoy breakfast there too whilst enjoying the view from the bay windows. The Chatsworth Hotel delivers all what you want from a quintessential British seaside stay. We'll be back.

Really nice hotel located right on the sea front just along from the pier, great location. Stayed here whilst on a quick break. Lovely room with great views. We were told we'd been upgraded from the room we booked and whilst we didn't get a balcony we did get a huge room with a large bathroom. Bed was huge and very soft. Bathroom had jacuzzi bath as well as separate shower and also had a bidet. The room was a bit tired and unfortunately not a five star standard, burns and marks on the carpet,dirty scuff marks around the bed and frayed carpets, also when we turned the jacuzzi on lots of black bits came out. The service was perfect, friendly, helpful and welcoming. The cost was reasonable. We were offered a free glass of wine in the evening whilst a piano player played in the bar area but sadly we had already made arrangements elsewhere. Overall I really liked our stay here.
