The Chatzigaki Manor

This is a truly remarkable place in an unspoilt location. We were two families and spent 5 amazing days on two separate occasions. Once in August 2019 and once in February 2025. Our day routines included amazing breakfasts from the lounge area overlooking the mountains, then a 10 minute drive to Kerketio for daily horse rides and quad rides up in the mountains. My eldest is 13 and loved the quad bike rides in rough terrains. We would then do a tour a day in places like Meteora or the Bridge in Paliokaria or Elati. The lodge is relaxing, luxurious and the staff are warm and generous with their time and hospitality. Looking forward to our return. Thank you for the good times

We stayed here for 4 nights for a family wedding. It was wonderful. We would like to return. The hotel is beautiful with large and comfortable rooms decorated in a stylish, upmarket and traditional manner. The restaurant and other communal areas were similarly beautiful. The food was excellent. The service was warm, personal and friendly. It felt like we were staying with friends. The gym was the only negative as it is not really equipped with mats, weights or other standard gym equipment and the machines are a bit basic. With a few mats, dumbbells and kettlebells and a better multi gym this could be rectified but is clearly not a priority nor should it be a deal breaker even if you are a gym nut. The surrounding area is beautiful and the views great. Fill up with petrol before you get into the mountains though as the closest petrol station was 30 minutes drive away down towards Tricala.

Greece is not only golden beaches, cerule waters and soaked islands... Lots of gems can be found hidden up high in the mountains. I loved this place, it is most probably where the gods of mythology are living right now. One can feel them alive in the cold stones, the running streams and the spiky conifers standing tall in the freshest air.
