The Chedi El Gouna

The short version: a wonderful place! - Rooms: new, comfortable, spacious open bath with separate cabins for the shower and toilet, beautiful seaview, private terrasse. One point could be improved: the electronic system in the room turns off everything when you leave the room, so it is impossible to cool the room when you're out. We never turn on the AC when we stay in the room for health reasons, so our room got very hot. - Location: beautiful and stylish new hotel on a small hill with private beach. On low tide swimming is a bit difficult. Easy access to El Gouna downtown (highly recommendable for dinner and shopping) by tuk-tuk for 50 EGP. - Restaurant: great breakfast buffet, everything is fresh and tasty, huge choice. We had dinner twice, once the gold medal awarded special dinner from Chef Fikry Ahmed, absolutely exceptional! Dont miss! The restaurant itself is very inviting and athmospheric. - Service: top everywhere, on 5* level. The best of all is definitely the Chef de service Milanya Maged, with her smile, her sense of humour and her professional service she is the heart and the soul of the main restaurant!

We had a truly wonderful stay at The Chedi El Gouna. The hotel offers excellent facilities, including thoughtful touches like sunblock and after-sun lotion available by the pool, which really enhances the comfort of your stay. The beach is beautiful, clean, and perfectly maintained, offering a peaceful retreat right at your doorstep. A special thank you to Salma and Magda, who gave us the best massage we’ve ever had—a truly unforgettable experience. And a big compliment to Milanya, whose personal service was outstanding and made us feel truly cared for throughout our stay. Breakfast was an absolute dream—an impressive spread with everything you could possibly imagine, and the coffee was excellent. We dined at all of the restaurants, and the Japanese restaurant really stood out with its delicious dishes and great variety. The tuna steak was one of the best I’ve ever had. Our room was spacious, efficiently designed, and had a beautiful terrace with a stunning sea view. The only suggestion we would make is regarding the room decor, which felt a bit too simple and lacked character compared to the rest of the hotel’s luxurious ambiance. Overall, The Chedi El Gouna is a serene and beautifully run hotel with exceptional service. We would love to return!

Luxurious hotel with luxurious services. Despite the great facilities, furniture, beach, pools, spa, and restaurants.. the excellent service is well noticable. Wherever you go within the resort, you got treated with astonishing service. I would here mention Ms. Milanya, the best one to represent such wonderful resort. She takes care of everything from the early morning in the restaurant to late afternoon in the beach. We are a family with 2 little daughters, we loved this resort amd will definitely repeat this experience every year.
