The Chequers Inn

We had such a wonderful experience at this hotel! The location is great, everything is super clean and beautifully organized, and the staff are incredibly friendly. The hospitality here is truly top-notch. A special thank you to Jon and the team – we arrived 30 minutes late for breakfast today with our baby, and they were so kind and accommodating. Despite the breakfast time having passed, they kindly set up a table for us and made us feel so welcome

We stayed for one night over the weekend on the dinner/ bed and breakfast deal. Room was small but perfectly good. Dinner was immense. A well thought out menu (not just the usual pub fare) with large portions (we could not finish it!?). Service was just brilliant. Really friendly and helpful. Many thanks for hosting us. Trip topped off with salmon and scrambled egg in the morning. We will be back and combine over a long weekend. 😃

We stopped here for dinner one evening while visiting the Peak District and had a great experience. The interior was beautifully decorated and had a welcoming atmosphere, and the lady serving us was friendly and attentive. The Derbyshire beef burger was absolutely delicious, and the outdoor seating area was a real highlight — especially with the sun out. We’d definitely stop by again if we’re in the area
