This boutique gem delivers a rare blend of warmth, design, and authenticity that sets it apart. From the moment I checked in, the staff made me feel completely at ease. The interiors are beautiful: rich textures, ambient lighting, and that charm of that old-world KL with a modern twist. The room was immaculate, and the details felt very intentional. The location is ideal if you want to experience the real KL. Markets, local eateries, and heritage streets, as well as downtown basically are walking distance. A highlight of my stay was the Chow Kit Walking Tour organized by the hotel. A deep dive into the neighborhood’s history, culture, and hidden corners, stories I’d never have found on my own. If you're staying here, don't skip it. Truly one of the best boutique hotel experiences I've had in Southeast Asia.

Some restaurants aren’t just places to fill your stomach—they’re like a safe haven in the heart of the city. This place doesn’t have extravagant decor, yet somehow it’s still a popular spot for photos. But more than that, it exists quietly and gently—whether it’s late at night or early in the morning, there’s always someone here finding a sense of calm. Every dish I ordered was simple, but you could taste the care behind it. A steaming bowl of soup, flavors that were subtle yet just right—it all felt comforting. The staff didn’t speak much, but they were always polite and never intrusive. The space was clean, the lighting soft—perfect for a quiet meal, or for sitting alone, letting your mind drift.

I’ve lost count of how many times I’ve stayed at this hotel. It’s always been my first choice whenever I travel to KL. Overall, my experience has been consistently satisfactory. I absolutely love the interior design and the location—it’s just a short distance from the downtown area where all the beautiful historic buildings are. The surrounding area can feel a bit rough, but it’s generally safe if you commute by car rather than walk around. However, parking can be extremely challenging. The rooms are comfortable and clean, though I did once find some hair under the pillow. I also enjoy the hotel’s café, which has a great atmosphere and serves nice drinks. The only major downside was the lack of vegetarian options when dining in. Despite being a 4-star hotel catering to international guests, there were no proper vegetarian dishes on the menu. I had to request a custom version, but it was poorly done—just stir-fried vegetables in soy sauce and sugar, with undercooked rice. That said, the service was excellent. The staff offered to bring me a new bowl of rice and even waived the charge for the meal, which really surprised me. I would’ve been happy even with just a free drink.
