The Coach and Horses

We called in for an evening meal after recommendations from the house owner were we are staying. We was not disappointed. The pub is really well kept and extremely friendly staff. We both ate steak pie and what an amazing pie! Home made short crust pastry stuffed to the top with lean tender steak. The pie came to us sat on creamy homemade mash and gravy that could have been served as soup (it was SO tasty. The veg was not over cooked either. A plate of perfection - a complete joy to eat. A proper pub with delicious food. The other customers dishes all look great too. So pleased we went.

Perfect location for exploring the area and lots of free on-site parking. Big, comfortable room, well appointed and spotlessly clean. Staff all professional, friendly and efficient. Great breakfast and the pub right next door was perfect for top quality meals and drinks. Overall the rates here deliver astonishingly good value for money.

No four in a bed inspection carried out just had a superb stay,Room clean & cosy, bathroom fresh & high standard of cleanliness, everything functioned. Had an excellent sleep. Breakfast outstanding, had the full English but there were lots of choices as well. Staff efficient & responded with a positive attitude. Location on the A27 dual way & view at the back on to developed buildings used to be farmland! To me, this didn't matter over 2 nights. For views, visit the Southdowns, which are very close .
