The Coast Motel

I stayed here many years ago before it was done up like this, im sure its so much better now the beds I had were all sunken in at the foot from everyone sitting on the end of tge bed, I loved the motel service every day where they gave tea and coffee supplys and the little tiny milks, I now drink pantry milk because of those so I often this of this motel and yeppoon. I may be back one day to stay and see how its changed. If I add photos they will be of how it use to look..

Whilst the room and bathroom were spacious, everything else was not great. No elevator, corridor stank like dog shampoo and wettness, absolutely NO sound proofing. I heard the guy next to me fart, not even kidding. Like many times. Heard entire phone conversations, even his snoring. People coming and going all hours. Delivery trucks to the bottleshop from 5.30am so loud. Can't possibly get any sleep in this place. Shame cause the owner seems nice but I will not be coming back.

We stayed here recently and unfortunately were quite disappointed. On the positive side, the room itself was lovely and spacious, and the staff we interacted with were friendly. However, the entire room reeked strongly of cigarette smoke, which was really unpleasant and made it hard to enjoy our stay — especially as we are non-smokers. We understand that the place was full and moving rooms wasn’t possible, but we would have appreciated some responsibility and care from the owner in addressing the issue. Instead, he tried to deny it. which was quite unfair — especially given that when staying in a hotel in Australia, guests have the right to a smoke-free environment. It’s such a shame because the space itself has a lot of potential, but the smell and the lack of willingness to help really let it down. We would not stay here again unless the smoking issue is properly addressed.
