The Comfort

An amazing place. Kushana welcomed me with open arms, introducing me to his beautiful place, which is spacious, clean and has cute pets too! He explained the key landmarks in Kandy and gave me tips on my trip planning to other parts of Sri Lanka. It is located slightly further away from the City, but is only a short 3km/8 mins drive away and there is parking on site. The room is also spacious and has nice views of sunset. Extremely sweet hosts who are very friendly and helpful. You feel like you are sleeping in your own home or friends home. There is a beautiful view of the hills around you. The breakfast was also huge with many options. And they have a sweet dog as well called Lucy. While it is not in the main city, it is just 8 minutes away by Tuktuk, which is easily available via Uber. Definitely value for money and a safe place to stay. I would definitely return when visiting Kandy next.

The Comfort stands for the ultimate homestay. Poornima and her husband Kushana go all the way to make you feel at home in their large villa. They cook wonderful large and tasteful authentic breakfasts with fresh ingredients. Very yummy! The owners provide you with tips about what to do in and around Kandy; they know the hidden gems. They even drove us to a site in town for free, stopping on the way for a pharmacy. We also had dinner at their place and chatted with the lady of the house, Poornima. She is such a great host! The rooms are large, with hot shower en comfortable beds. Lovely balcony to watch the green, birds and monkeys. And all this at great prices! Need we say more? Best homestay ever!
