The Commodore Hotel

Hotel staff are polite and helpful but their service delivery needs work. We arrived at 10 am after flights of 24 hrs while I realise we couldn't get our room until closer to 2.00pm. Staff indicated we could get in earlier. After walking around for 1.5 hrs then sitting in the hotel bar for 2 hours finally got our room after 2.00pm but room set up for two singles not a couple, asked for bedding to be redone. While hotel location is great they obviously need more staff in high demand times. Food great, staff are lovely. ++

I am currently at the hotel and i am not happy at all The rooms are not clean and dusty and full of small bugs they are crawling on the wall and even coffee cups!! I’m talking to them tomorrow morning, expired cream on the coffee corner it was left open i think from the previous guest.I am glad i am only staying for 2 nights. This is an update to my review I contacted the front desk and they were amazing they apologized and offered me an upgrade and dinner we took the upgrade and the rooms are much better so clean and they were connected and this much better for me and my kids Ricardo (i hope i am not wrong with the name) made sure that we are happy and everything is perfect for us. Thank you so much for listening to us and solving our problem.

Location is convenient to the A&V waterfront. Booked 3 suites and a 4th room for a 5 day trip. It’s winter and there was only warm water one night. After returning from outdoor activities the water was Luke warm at best. On day 2 the water had a horrible smell to it and the management never sent any notice. When I complained they offered to allow me to shower at their property next door, then when pressed offered to move me to a dated hotel next door. The consolation prize was a complementary dinner for my party at their worn out restaurant. The stay was not worth what I paid, my clothes and body smell like unsanitary water and I’ve been cold for 5 days. Management is unattentive, staff is friendly but the maintenance issues are constant. Do not recommend. As a follow up, multiple members of my party have developed gastrointestinal issues.
