Returned yesterday from our Mon - Fri stay! What a great hotel, really friendly host Helen who we had some lovely conversations with plus always so happy to help us with extra tea bags, milk and a hairdryer! We stayed in the family suite that overlooked the sea, it was literally a minute from the crazy golf and the seafront. The suite had a double sofa bed for our child and it's own fridge which was so handy, alongside the communal kitchen space and free continental breakfast whenever you fancied it was such a lovely find!! Would stay again👍🏻 x

Stayed here in June this year for 10 days. It was a wonderful laid back place with excellent service from our host Helen. Room has a wonderful feel and great views of the sea and beach only 2 minutes away. Would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a great place to stay and have already booked for next year. Stayed in the Isadora Duncan suite, lots of room and was a great atmosphere and we could help ourselves to breakfast at any time. Town close by with many places to eat and lots of entertainment and shops. Sue mitchell

We have just returned from a 3 night stay at The Commodore. The Commodore B&B, like all the others we have seen in the Paignton seafront area, may have a slightly dated appearance as in the building and room (which was clean), but we paid an exceptional £231 for 3 nights, in the height of holiday season, and it is located right on the seafront with parking. We stopped in the Issac Singer room which was a comfortable size, for 2 adults and a sausage dog. It had a great sea view and we were lucky enough to view some boat racing. Ample hanging and drawer storage for a weekend. Enough sockets by the bed. The provision of tea/coffee and hot chocolate lasted all weekend. The en-suite, again, was " comfortable " size with a surprisingly powerful shower. With regards to breakfast, there is a wide selection of cereals, fruit and bread for toast (brown, white, crumpets, croissants). All this you serve yourself as and when you like. The above is stored in a fully fitted kitchen which you use, if you like, to cook your own hot breakfast. The Commodore has deals with a local butcher for breakfast packs. This may not be to everyone's liking but hey-ho! As mentioned, the location is right on the seafront. If you turn right, you are a 2 min walk from the harbour where there are some good restaurants and if you turn right you can hit the main drag where there are several bars (exceptional for people watching, if you know what I mean!!!) and the Pier. The train and bus station was a 5 minute walk away. Helen was very accommodating and very pet friendly.
