The Como Melbourne

From the moment I arrived, the staff made me feel welcome and even offered to help with my luggage since there were a few steps down from the lobby to the lift. My room was surprisingly spacious, with a comfortable sitting area right in front of the bed. While the decor was a bit dated, it had everything I needed for my three-night stay. The bathroom had a large bathtub, which was a nice touch. I didn’t receive the Como Duck at first, but a quick call to room service sorted that out—they brought it up promptly. I also checked out the sauna, gym, and pool, which are accessed via a staircase, and had the whole place to myself when I visited. Overall, I had a great stay. The hotel’s location in South Yarra is fantastic, with plenty of dining options nearby, which made the whole experience even better.

Amazing overnight stay for our anniversary. Upgraded to a better room on arrival with a complimentary bottle of bubbles in the room to celebrate! We had a slight problem with maintenance trying to enter our room to work out the spa bath noises as someone next door complained, after a quick call to reception they apologised and gave us a bottle of red. Lovely and clean room and the bed was very comfy.

Firstly we will start with the positives. We had a one bedroom apartment which was spacious and great as a family of 3. Location was good with easy parking nearby. However, our shower didn’t work. Only half the shower head worked with no water pressure also so you couldn’t actually have a shower. The shower also was leaking from somewhere and completely flooded the bathroom floor. The bed was the hardest bed we’ve ever encountered. I actually lifted up the sheets to check it was really a mattress. The fridge wasn’t working - it was warm and all defrosted. Annoying as we booked an apartment to have access to a kitchen for our toddler. All in all would love to return if these things were rectified but this unfortunately has put us off for any future stays.
