The Continent Hotel Sukhumvit Asok BTS Bangkok

Very good location and great service are key for this hotel. The pool on the 37th floor is small, but very nice. The rooms and overall decor is a bit dated and should be refreshed. The only issue is the limited number of elevators which at high season can be a real bottleneck. Patience required at breakfast time.

Stayed here for 5 nights. Right in the heart of all the action. We had a panorama room and it was lovely. The views over the town were spectacular. Staff were super friendly from the front desk to housekeepers to the bar staff at the pool area. The breakfast is a real treat. Every option you could want.

I had mixed feelings about my stay. The location is excellent — very central and easy to walk to shops, BTS and nightlife. The staff were helpful and the room itself was clean and comfortable. However, the lift situation was terrible: very old, extremely noisy, and I had to change rooms multiple times to escape the banging noise from the lift shaft. Even then, you still hear rumbling from the city. The rooftop pool and bar look good in photos but are not really usable — too humid and not a proper relaxing area. I also found the food very disappointing and overpriced; my meal on the first night was bland and not crispy as advertised. Overall, decent for location and friendly staff, but the hotel really needs to fix the lift and improve the food and facilities.”
