We stayed here for a wedding in Hexham. It's a great location a short walk away from the train station. The room was comfortable and in good order. It was a little noisy in the morning from deliveries and such like, but the hotel provided earplugs which I thought was great. We had a drink in the bar but did not dine. The staff were lovely and friendly. Breakfast in the morning was great with a could choice of food. The hot food was cooked to order and was very nice, the lady that served me was attentive and friendly. Overall great place to stay in the town of Hexham close to facilities. My overall experience from initial call to follow up emails has been amazing. We would come back and stay again.
It's well situated if you want to explore the local area. The staff are very polite and helpful. The accommodation is well looked after, also good sized rooms
Not sure what to say. This place used to be at least 4 star rating, however not anymore. Went for food. I ordered a scampi £8.99. thought not bad, until it arrived. 5 tiny scampi fries, which were obviously cheep frozen ones, probably from Iceland.no taste to them at all. Also has some children's menu food. Chips were rock hard and cold. Not surprising tbh, considering we were waiting about 45 minutes for our food, the place was not busy at all. I then took a look at the menu a little more... £20 for fish and chips? That seemed a little over priced as I did notice someone with that option and it didn't look like anything special. Very very disappointed tbh. Won't be going there again.
